Description
The exhibition Ici et peut-être ailleurs (Here and Perhaps Elsewhere) features five works, among which three video installations: Untitled 1997 - 2003, Objects of War n°1 and n°2, and two videos: Replay (bis) and Here and Perhaps Elsewhere.
These works drawing from documentary and fiction, are snatches of dreams, reminiscences of the past, as well as attempts to construct a collective memory, all the while revealing the limitation of restituting a unique History of the Lebanese war.
There are fragments of History, fragments of truth which constitute as many stories.
L'exposition Ici et peut-être ailleurs présente cinq oeuvres, dont trois installations video: Sans titre 1997-2003, Objets de guerre n°1 and n°2,
et deux vidéos: Replay (bis) et Ici et peut-être ailleurs.
Ces oeuvres, du documentaire à la fiction, sont autant des bribes de rêves et des réminiscences du passé, que des tentatives de construire une mémoire collective, tout en désignant l’impossibilité de ces récits à restituer une seule Histoire de la guerre du Liban. Ces fragments d’Histoire, fragments de vérité, constituent autant d'histoires. |
