Description
Time and the Other is a story of love and the terrible slow rupture of a couple, viewed from the subjective angle of one of the lovers. It is the story of that experience expressed in the absence of the Other. We never clearly see him, though he’s always there.
His presence is obvious through his absence, through the traces left by his body.
Time and the Other is made of three parts:
1 / Embrace: medium size prints (from Super 8mm. films), texts and one video Embrace.
2 / Sleep: large prints, and Diary of Sleep, 4 series of prints (from Super 8mm. films), texts and one video Sleep.
3 / Lost Chords: medium and large images / paintings and texts.
L’Autre et le temps est l’histoire d’un amour et de la terrible et lente séparation d’un couple, racontée à la première personne, à travers le regard de l’un en l’absence de l’autre. Cet autre qu’on ne voit jamais clairement ni ne reconnaît et qui pourtant est là. Sa présence est évidente, par son absence et par les traces laissées par son corps.
L’Autre et le temps est composé de trois parties:
1/ Etreinte: grands tirages (extraits de Super 8mm), textes et une vidéo Etreinte.
2/ Sommeil: grands tirages et séries Journal du sommeil (extraits de Super 8mm), textes et une vidéo Sommeil.
3/ Accords perdus: grandes et moyennes images/peintures et textes. |
